Paranormal researchers Peaches Veatch and William Jimenez expose a paranormal activity on Liberty Theatre in Los Alamitos. They are both followers of the Liberty Theatre’s shows and never missed any shows every year. According to them, there are two ghosts existed inside the theatre, a nurse and a sailor.
“Several ghosts need help and are there for a reason. Some of them are just not ready to leave,” according to William Jimenez.
The Liberty Theatre was already built before the World War II and they argue that most of the ghosts dwell inside the theatre are from World War II.
Jimenez and Veatch discussed one of the special cases, the Edna Alcorn case. They said that Edna was a Head Nurse on a former military hospital that was adjacent to the Liberty Theatre from 1943 to 1948. She turns off the lights and turns it on and closes and locks the door. According to Veatch, she has to play era music for 40 seconds for her to get closer to Edna.
The Ghost Edna talks to Veatch, she told Veatch about her love one that left her and accompanied a red hair woman. But since Veatch has a red hair, Edna suspected that it was Veatch who took her love one.
“These entities have feelings. When they die and haven’t yet crossed over, their personalities are still the same,” said Jimenez. Jimenez also explained that Edna has to be conciliated before accepting Veatch.
According to Jimenez, those paranormal entities have made already peace before they passed away and ready to move on. But for some reasons, there some ghosts that are not yet ready to be unattached here on Earth – maybe they are still attached to a person, place or could not accept the fact that they are already dead.
The other ghost was a sailor who was an enthusiast of a theatre play in Liberty Theatre. Paranormal researchers said that this man sits on his favourite seat wearing a Sailor attire way back in 1940’s. The theatre serves as an entertainment to the American Forces who lived on a naval air station in Joint Forces Training Base and while waiting for orders to go overseas.
According to Theatre Guild’s President Jeff Hathcock that he also witnessed the ghost of the sailor inside the theatre. “Every time I walk the 130 feet from the entrance of the theatre to where the light switch is, I feel someone walking with me. I feel palpitations,”
However, experts and attendees of the discussion understood why there are people that are cynic of ghosts and spirits like a Los Alamitos resident Sandi Romero who never believe but not a cynic.
“I have never even seen anything paranormal, but I accept that different things are possible. That’s what makes believers different from sceptics. Some have seen it and believe it. Some just accept it.”
