Ghost hunters Patrick Burns, together with his wife and Marley Gibson are to investigate the Veterans Memorial Museum in Huntsville on Saturday. Patrick has been an enthusiast of paranormal activities and sees his passion as a labor of love. He was also a photographer and a TV personality.
After the death of his brother in the mid 80’s, he began to seek answers and evidences about the existence of life after death that are beyond the answers from any religion. Searching mysteries have not just granted him comfort but also gave him hope that someday he will meet his brother one day.
“I think I have found that... my goal is to open people’s minds and show them there really is more to our world than just what science has discovered, and they can experience it, too. I need to prove it myself and show people how to prove it to themselves,” he said. “Don’t worry about convincing others – convince yourself.” Burns said on a three-season Haunting Evidence at channel Court TV.
Patrick Burns will be accompanied with his wife, author Marley Gibson and fellow paranormal investigators to congregate GhoStock this weekend. GhoStock was an event that was founded by Burns in 2005 in Georgia that allows any participation from paranormal enthusiast to investigate haunted locations.
The event will start by 9pm of Saturday up to 1am of Sunday in the Veterans Memorial Museum that was located near the Airport Road. The event involves examination of the World War I and World War II relics.
According to Patrick Burns that most of the discovery by researchers are done not on buildings or properties but instead on objects that are memorable – objects that has a strong attachment of one’s entity. This strong attachment is called “place memory” or “residual energy.”
“What we’re going to do is investigate these items on display at the museum and see if, in fact, we can uncover any residual energy or placed memory. We will use devices called electromagnetic (EMF) field detectors, temperature sensors, and our favourite device is just a standard digital audio recorder.” he said.
For those who are to attend, participants must have their own ghost-hunting equipments such as sensitive cameras and audio recorders and other equipments that are needed.
“At the end of the day, it’s still fascinating...I can’t say one way or another if it’s haunted, but what I can do is say that we went in, collected data, made observations and was anomalous.” Burns said
