“The ground was crystallised like snow...We began walking down this long corridor with files all around us. We walked for around five or six paces when we saw something down the corridor moving. There was something hovering in front of us and getting closer and closer...We saw this trail of light – it was flashing all over the place. Then I saw the ghostly image of the young boy.” Leonard Low said.
Leonard Low was inspired by nurses who claimed that there was a figure like that has been watching them – which caused him to investigate immediately.
The Whittington Hospital was part of the history, going back to 15th century where it was already establish in Leper colony.
Leonard Low believes that the ghost appeared on the photo was a young boy who died way back to 15th century and his name was William.
The father-of-two had already experience paranormals and it was not their first time around. Mr Low witnessed his sister on a nightgown a fortnight after his sister passed away when he was 21 years old.
Numerous people also claim that ghosts tend to appear on an 18th century Scottish tower Tolbooth – where women are placed and tortured during the bloody witch hunts.
Mr. Low experienced an extraordinary pain when in the presence of a ghost, “I get pins and needles in the back of my head and I find it hard to see....It is as if my skin knows there is something there.” he described.
Going back to the Whittington Hospital, a spokeswoman admitted that there is a strange apparition existed on the basement and they are aware of reports concerning the ghost appearing there.
On Leonard Low’s book, the story of Whittington ghost was written, True Story of the Pittenweem Poltergeist.
“Whittington Health is aware that there have been ghost stories about sightings and feelings in the smallpox hospital over the years. There is no evidence but the tale continues.” Hospital’s spokeswoman said.
