Bailey Theatre Has Been Observed With Many Ghost Sightings

Some theatre staff and patrons believe that former energetic performers, regular supporters and staff from the century old Bailey Theater may want another performance at the theatre even though they are already dead.

Bailey architect David Roth decided to invite Entity Seeker, a group of paranormal investigators, to investigate paranormal activity which has been reported at the theatre.

Theatre’s maintenance personnel Lee Hanson claimed that he witnessed a strange sighting on Saturday morning. He was alone in the building when he rode an elevator going to the basement. Even though the basement was dark, he clearly saw a glowing figure passed in front of him and disappeared after.

Hanson described that the figure he saw stand at 5’4” with long hair. He added that before the disappearance of the entity, it turned out to him after he said hello.

The 3-year old daughter of Hanson’s co-worker also reportedly saw a ghost in the theatre in the same area where he spotted the ghost. The child told to her father that the old lady she found in the basement was nice to her.

There have also been several sightings of a man at the theatre’s auditorium. A cleaning crew member discovered a large man in a wide-brimmed hat walking across the stage in a photo taken by him. A performer at the Bailey also saw what the cleaning crew member captured in a photograph. According to the performer, the man stood up in the middle of the audience during his performance.

Roth was not surprised on several reports of strange sightings and said that he himself felt a positive presence in the theatre. Roth stressed that the building acquire the positive energy of people who have been part of the long history of the theatre.

Entity Seeker started their investigation at the basement near the elevator, the same place where Hanson saw the figure. The group used electromagnetic field readers in the basement to know if there is a high-level of electromagnetic radiation which could possibly cause hallucinations to Hanson or to the young girl to see a specter in that certain area.

The investigators got low EMF readings on the entire building and electromagnetic fields were big. Entity Seeker co-founder Morgan Knudsen said that their goal is to help people determine the reason why they are seeing strange figure and if it is paranormal, the group would help them deal with it in a positive way. Knudsen added that their group only can tell if paranormal activity really happens after checking out all possible causes. The group will be back on April 17 to reveal its finding of the investigation at the Bailey Theatre.
