Spirit tracking specialists Brian Scott and Brandon McCaslin of BnB Ghosts of Mesa began to set up their equipment in the Historic Navajo County Courthouse in Holbrook on the evening of January 7, 2012. They did all their investigations, studies as well as the reason of ghosts’ presence for free.
The courthouse is known to be haunted over the years as other investigators and psychics have reported. Also, some members of staff at Navajo Country Historical Society and the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce as well as different workers and visitors have claimed experiencing paranormal activities such as lights goes off and on late at night when no one occupied the building and papers or books moved on their own.
Scott and McCaslin’s own investigation was not a failure. They claimed that around one o’clock in the morning on Sunday, January 8, they caught a variety of noises and ghost videos as well as they felt cold air movement surrounded them. They were amazed by the mount of activity. The two investigators are very certain that the noise they caught was not coming from the steam heat system in the building since it was turned off.
On January 8, 1900, a convicted murderer George Smiley was sentence to death through hanging at the courthouse grounds. Bnb Ghosts team was on similar site after 112 years of Smiley’s death to investigate his ghost and those reported other spirits wandering in the building.
The investigators claimed that they have encountered and communicated with a ghost in the courtroom. They said they set up the ring on the light at the prosecutor’s table in front of the bench of the judge. They asked yes or no questions and to determine the answer, the spirit could turn the ring on the light to indicate that the answer is yes.
The two then asked the number of ghosts occupying the courthouse mentioning that they would count beginning at one and upon reaching the correct number the ghost should answer yes by turning on the flashlight. When the two men mentioned number 7, the light came on. This is similar result on the spirit’s number that a psychic reported back in 2009.
The investigators will give their documentation of their investigation to the historical society and a report of their findings will be aired on January 28, 2012 over KQCK Radio of Queen Creek at 7 p.m. Interested individuals may listen to the station’s website at kqcklive.com.
