Folks from Phenomenon and Paranormal Investigators (PPI) talked to a filled Dormann Library in Bath, describing their ghost-research and first-hand encounter with hauntings.
Headed by paranormal researcher Chris Pike, the team investigates claimed hauntings in around forty counties between New York and Pennsylvania. As of this writing, they’ve validated 5 hauntings in 32 researches.
The researchers deal with every reported haunting with the thinking that there is no entity at the area. The reality, as PPI’s saying goes, is in the proof.
It is not in their practice to exorcise any ghosts, demons or other apparitions encountered on the property.
Pike mentioned that they move in and announce positive or negative. From there, if an individual wants the ghost to disappear, they do not do that.
Pike created the team in 2008 after a couple of paranormal encounters, including a clear dream regarding a departed close friend.
Founded in Bradford County, PPI investigates claimed hauntings for free. Aside from investigating personal properties, they also travelled to battlefields and recreational areas that are presumably haunted, such as the Emira prison camp and Newtown Battlefield.
In several occasions, they collect picture or video of unusual events, forms, noises, or something that suggests paranormal.
To obtain the proof, the group gathered a variety of equipment such as recorders, cameras, electromagnetic field meters, and a self-made parabolic microphone.
Confirming that an area is certainly haunted demands collecting evidence from several equipment, rather than depending on one instrument to acquire evidence of the apparition, according to the group.
Pike explained there are 3 types of hauntings; intelligent, demonic and residual. Residuals are induced by “negative energy” that replays alone such as battlefield hauntings. Spirits in residual hauntings are not aware of individuals around them.
Intelligent hauntings are of people who already died and are conscious of people. Demonic are non-human and can cause injuries or even death.
Pike said that demonic hauntings are always bad and no good ever happens from a demonic haunting.
While the team had pictures and recordings that may have been of hauntings, it also played ghost video that appeared to show an apparition tossing coins and different items at PPI members.
The ghost video was taken at a property where the occupants had complained of a haunting. It was the only occasion Pike recalled getting physically assaulted while in a haunting research.
