Ghosts at White River Valley Museum

Stories about a ghost wandering around the White River Valley Museum have been circulated for many years already. It is also believed by many that the spirit is still attached to the artifacts displayed in the museum. Curator Hilary Pittenger, who has been working for already 6 years in the museum, also believes that she has already seen the ghost. Pittenger narrated that her first experience happened before she learned about the ghost. She encountered something white passing to her and had felt it like a textile or fabric. She learned after that her coworkers also have similar encounters.

Reports and stories about the ghost encourage paranormal investigators David Vacknitz and Stephen Johnston from Auburn Paranormal Activities Research Team (APART) to visit the museum. They checked the displays and storerooms at the museum hoping to collect evidence on the existence of the ghost.

Johnston tried to look for electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) using a video camera mounted with a digital voice recorder. He explained that sometimes the voice of spirits or other noises can only be captured with voice recorder. Meanwhile, Vacknitz tried to find anomalies by measuring electromagnetic fields at the main display rooms of the museum.

Investigators did not record something paranormal and did not capture any voices from other dimension. However, they capture words from their Ghost Radar app and they have also personal experiences in the museum.

Johnston said that they are convinced something not normal in the museum but they cannot determine if the spirit is a male or a woman. They also did not dismiss the idea that the spirit might be a residual energy attached to an object. APART is interested to visit again the museum to have further investigation.
